Chronicle Cosquín the 2nd day of Rock 2011 " Poker of teachers in a Saturday night " By Gabriel Bertino
This Saturday February 12, 2011, those who were lucky to attend the 2nd day of issue No. 11 of Cosquin Rock, we enjoyed an exciting re-match with the Rock Nacional, where Luis Alberto Spinetta, Leon Gieco, Skay Beilinson and Charly García, renewed their old contract of love with people, based on good music, emotion and memories. In this new edition of the Festival's hottest rock federal country, have combined some new things with the purest tradition of the National Rock.
The most significant development for regular attendees Cosquín Festival was the new site, and that after 5 years away in the city of Cosquín and 5 in the Comuna San Roque, this edition No. 11 was carried out at the aerodrome of Santa Maria de Punilla, a new place that has several advantages:
- is larger, a situation that allows greater convenience for all attendees, who can approach the main stage travel more easily than scenarios.
- has better acoustics, a valley wedged between the mountains, you can enjoy an excellent and clear sound.
- And, as extra factor, the property has a large share of beauty, with lots of greenery and fresh air, at the foot of the mountains.
The negative factor is the difficulty of access, because the path 38 (through which you enter Santa Maria de Punilla) is itself a small but very busy road that links Carlos Paz Capilla del Monte and crosses the center of all the intermediate populations (as Biallet Masse, Cosquín, La Falda, Villa Giardino, The summit, etc). If we add the flood of people involved in each edition of the Festival, we can get an idea of \u200b\u200bthe difficulty of arriving at the premises, where personally, we had a delay of almost 2 hours on the entry.
A Night of Magic: Turning exclusively to the music and all lived on the evening of Saturday, we can say that was a sort of National Rock lecture, delivered by 4 of its founding members:
Luis Alberto Spinetta
:
What we can say the skinny Spinetta, rather than have some details of your show?
The first milestone of his presentation was the beautiful version of "Tea for Three" dedicated to Gustavo Cerati, the audience responded with a quiet and loud applause, which began to mark the heart and skin of the public that during the night would live a magical event.
The second important moment was the presentation on the stage of "Vera Spinetta, the youngest daughter of the weak, who accompanied him on a couple of songs.
And the third was the ovation that he dedicated people, shouting "Skinny, skinny," after the interpretation of classics like "Peach bleeding."
One detail that perhaps played down some of the shine to show the thin, was the time when you had to go on stage (19:35), an hour too early that it seriously undermines the audience, because people just began to arrive, delayed mainly because of the difficult and slow access to the site. Beyond that detail, which played down seguirdad audience (since their show was watched by just over 10,000 people, many of those who were arriving, lamantaban had not been reached in time to see the skinny) its passage through the 11th. rcok Cosquin edition Was an excellent presentation, without fanfare but with the usual forcefulness of thin Spinetta, who with his music (especially the guitar), marked the territory of what was to come
León Gieco :
Another chapter of the evening was Leon Gieco, who repeated the rock format with a "D-minds", which opened 2 years ago at the 2009 festival. In its grid of songs, highlighted several important issues such as "Iron Men," "Saved in Memory", "5 centuries as" dedicated to Evo Morales was also sung "a capella" and powerful "Think of nothing" that closed the presentation of Leon with the clamor of the people who feast on pure pogo.
One of the many educational phrases let Gieco "Cosquin rock, is the son of La Falda rock, and the Skirt is the son of BA rock rock."
Skay Beilison:
The 3rd step of the second day of Cosquín Rock, was built by hand Beilison Skay, which was perhaps the most important of the entire night (plus Beyond love and expectations generated by Charly García.) At the peak of public assistance (the expression of more than 35,000 people) was when the ex-ricotero, opened his show with "Rain on Baghdad," a theme of "Talisman" his second album released in 2004.
A relentless presentation, which reviewed many of his subjects, several belonging to Where are you going? (His last album released in 2010) as "The moon in fez" or "The Journey of Mary." And where also missing some issues of the Round.
The first excitement came with "The kid in the yard" the public celebration with an explosion that lifted all the people, both in the field and in the tents Fanatic Rock, generating a strong dose of energy. But undoubtedly the high point of your presentation (and all night) was when it began to sound "Jijiji" theme that ended his presentation, they literally broke the madness of all the fans that moved, as a vast human tide to the rhythm of the chords of his guitar. A postcard impressive.
Charly García :
Comment
presentation Charly García is a very difficult task to perform, because it is almost impossible to define in words the different sensations he left his show. How to use your head when we face a living legend like Charly Garcia, dusting off their best songs? How to use reason, when the stage explodes musically, with a guitar master who delivered a near-perfect sound?
The devastating wailing guitar great "Black" Garcia Lopez, penetrated the bowels of the mountain, while the trio was accompanied by Chile that in a while collaborating with Charly Garcia, which is comprised of Kiushe Hayashida, on guitar, Carlos Gonzalez, a low, and Tonio Peña Silva on drums, while "Zorrito" Von Quintiero, also accompanied the Piano by Charly on their keyboards and synthesizers.
Some things are obvious: despite his recovery, Charly is not at his best, (although we acknowledge we still have it onstage), the absence of Hilda Lizarazu, maybe leave a little more on evidence, some flaw in his voice or some white in the letters that people completed a choir, and did not need anyone remembered them. Beyond any "detail" people were happy, because I could enjoy his idol, whom he celebrated all his jokes and starts.
His presentation can be divided into 3 stages:
* The first: The best, perhaps the most musical, which lasted the first 45 minutes and that people enjoy most, where the show was very much like that Velez Sarfield provided with underwater concert, which began with "Close to the revolution" and followed with several classics such as "Funky", "Love expects," "I pray for you," "Rock and Roll Yo" and "I feel much better," people issues singing loudly.
* The second: the worst musical, where Charly playing more than singing, pulled the microphone, ran around the stage, modified the lyrics or remain silent and stuff like that, that people (in an implicit pact ) looked acceptance and smiles.
* Third: That was the last stage, which enjoyed its most loyal fans who refused to leave and that came after more than 1 hour and a half show, including the participation of Leon Gieco, doing "The Phantom of Canterville "and the final farewell, where Charly (recovering from his voice and his composure), said goodbye and turned in over 7 or 8 times, resorting to the old themes of Sui generis or other extraneous issues, such as a version of "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Flyd, as well as through "Popotitos" San Lorenzo progress and some Delusional another note, obviously people cheered in total complicity.
Finally, an extensive presentation, where (as noted above) were mixed various sensations: initial delirium, excitement, pleasure, affection, also a certain amount of disappointment, followed by another of understanding and acceptance, which then was followed by smiles, applause and admiration towards a final figure dedicate his whole life, without any reservations to rock and roll. So much so that after almost 2 hours of show, in a difficult night, standing in the middle of the stage and embraced his teammates (who wanted to convince to close the show definitely) literally asked his audience: " Che get out, that but I can not go because I feel bad and let me thing. "
A true Charly Garcia, who closed a magical night of re-encounter with the very foundations of our National Rock.
